After a full day at Tokyo Disneyland, it was time for Day 2 — and the moment I’d been waiting for: Tokyo DisneySea, complete with the newly added Fantasy Springs attractions on the unlimited pass.

But before we even stepped inside the park, the 25th Anniversary celebrations were already setting the tone.

Here’s what’s coming up in Part 1:

  • 🏨 Seamless checkout — no front desk, no fuss
  • 🚝 A special 25th Anniversary Resort Line ride
  • 🎰 Show lottery — and we won!
  • 🛍️ Straight to the gift shop — because unlimited rides means no rush
  • 📸 The best morning photo spots before the crowds hit
  • 🎢 Soarin’, Center of the Earth, Raging Spirits & more — all with minimal wait
  • 🍺 Cape Cod Cook-Off — free churros, free drinks, free everything

Part 2 will cover the afternoon — including Fantasy Springs!

📅 Morning Schedule

🏨 7:00 AM — Checkout Without the Checkout

One of the best features of Tokyo Disney hotels: you can check out directly from your room via the in-room TV. No queuing at reception, no paperwork. Done in seconds.

And for luggage? Same thing — you can arrange to leave your bags with the hotel through the TV system, and they’ll store them for you until you’re ready to pick them up later that evening. We headed out with just our day bags, knowing everything else would be safe and waiting for us when we returned.

💡 This is another huge perk of staying at a Disney hotel — the seamless checkout means you lose zero park time on admin tasks!

🚝 7:30 AM — Disney Resort Line to DisneySea (with a 25th Anniversary Surprise!)

We hopped on the Disney Resort Line toward Tokyo DisneySea Station — and happened to board one of the special 25th Anniversary decorated trains. The handrails were shaped like blue Mickey heads, and the whole interior had a festive anniversary feel. A lovely little moment before the day even began!

On arrival, we joined the general queue to wait for park opening.

💡 If you want to be among the first inside, arrival before opening is a must. Arriving at opening time means joining a queue that’s already long — you could easily lose 30 – 60 minutes just getting in!

🎰 9:00 AM — Inside the Park & Winning the Show Lottery!

Opening time was 8:45 AM, and we made it inside by 9:00 AM.

First order of business: the show lottery for Dance the Globe — Tokyo DisneySea’s hugely popular show, currently running in a special 25th Anniversary version.

We entered the lottery and… we won! 🎉

We selected the last show of the day at 6:40 PM — a deliberate choice. By picking the evening slot, we kept the entire daytime free for attractions, and it meant the show would be a perfect way to wrap up the night.

With that secured, the rest of the morning was ours to enjoy without any time pressure.

🛍️ 9:10 AM — Empório: Shopping First (Because We Can!)

Here’s something the Attraction Special Ticket makes possible that most park visitors can’t do: go straight to the shops at opening without feeling guilty about it.

No sprinting to attractions, no FOMO. Our rides were covered all day. So instead, we headed straight to Empório to browse the 25th Anniversary merchandise.

I picked up:

  • 🧸 A Mickey Mouse plush in his special 25th Anniversary outfit (too cute to leave behind)
  • 🎀 Minnie & Daisy plush badges
  • 👂 A 25th Anniversary headband

📸 9:20 AM — Mount Prometheus Photo Spot

Just after opening, the area in front of Mount Prometheus — DisneySea’s iconic volcano — was surprisingly quiet. Everyone else had rushed to the attractions, leaving the landmark almost to ourselves.

We grabbed our photos here while we had the space. By midday, this spot fills up completely — morning is absolutely the time to do it.

🎢 9:30 AM — Soarin’: Fantastic Flight (180 min → 10 min!)

First attraction of the day: Soarin’: Fantastic Flight.

Standby queue: 180 minutes. Our wait: 10 minutes.

The full experience — pre-show and the ride itself — takes around 30 minutes from entry to exit, so factor that in when planning your day. Worth every second though.

A lovely touch: my partner was riding Soarin’ for the very first time, so I mentioned it to one of the Cast Members. They immediately presented them with a “1st Ride” sticker — a small but genuinely sweet moment! 🎖️

🌋 10:00 AM — Journey to the Center of the Earth (100+ min → 10 min!)

Next up: Journey to the Center of the Earth.

The park was busy and the weather was gorgeous — standby showed over 100 minutes. We walked through in 10 minutes and were back out before most people had even reached the boarding area.

📸 10:20 AM — Mermaid Lagoon: 25th Anniversary Photo Spot

A short walk brought us to the Mermaid Lagoon area, which had been decorated beautifully for the 25th Anniversary celebrations.

This is currently one of the most popular photo spots in the park — and for good reason. The decorations are genuinely stunning. We took our time here and got some of my favorite shots of the entire trip. (Photos below!)

🌀 10:30 AM — Raging Spirits (80 min → 5 min!)

Standby: 80 minutes. Our wait: 5 minutes.

Quick, efficient, and as thrilling as always. The Attraction Special Ticket continues to deliver.

🍔 10:50 AM — Cape Cod Cook-Off: Early Lunch & Free Everything

We made our way to Cape Cod Cook-Off for an early lunch — and to make full use of our free vouchers.

Here’s what we had:

  • 🍔 Pulled Pork Burger — absolutely delicious (photo didn’t happen, oops!)
  • 🥤 Special Souvenir Drink in a Duffy & Friends cup — adorable design, great taste
  • 🥐 Free Churros — redeemed again, naturally

And because Cape Cod Cook-Off supports mobile order, we skipped the general queue entirely. Ordered ahead, walked straight to the mobile order pickup. Zero waiting.

💡 The free drink voucher covers special drinks too — always worth ordering the character cup version when available!

🎯 11:30 AM — Toy Story Mania! (120 min → 10 min!)

Standby: 120 minutes standby. Our wait: 10 minutes.

The shooting game element makes this one genuinely competitive and fun, especially when you’re riding with someone to go head-to-head with.

🏚️ 11:50 AM — Tower of Terror (80 min → 10 min!)

Right next door: Tower of Terror.

Standby: 80 minutes. Our wait: 10 minutes.

Seamless back-to-back rides in the same area — this is efficient park touring at its finest.

🎯 12:10 PM — Toy Story Mania!, Round 2! (5 min!)

We immediately went back for a second round of Toy Story Mania! — this time properly prepared for the competition.

5-minute wait. The rematch was on. 😄

🐱 12:30 PM — Surprise Meet with Marie!

While strolling between areas, we had an unexpected encounter with Marie from The Aristocats — and managed to get a photo together!

These spontaneous character meet moments are one of my favorite things about Tokyo Disney. You never quite know who you’ll bump into!

🍲 12:50 PM — Back to Cape Cod Cook-Off: Second Lunch!

Somehow hungry again😂

We returned to Cape Cod Cook-Off for round two — this time ordering:

  • 🥤 Another Special Drink
  • 🍲 Seafood Clam Chowder
  • 🥐 Churros

Total cost: ¥0. Every single item covered by our free vouchers, ordered via mobile order, picked up with zero waiting.

Fully recharged and ready for the afternoon — which means one thing: Fantasy Springs.

💡 The Bottom Line

By 1:00 PM, we had ridden 6 major attractions — every single one with a standby wait of over 80 minutes (most over 100!). With the Attraction Special Ticket, we waited no more than 10 minutes for any of them.

We won a show lottery, done our shopping, hit the best photo spots, and eaten twice — all with barely any waiting!

Next up: the moment I’d been looking forward to most — Fantasy Springs, finally unlimited! 🏰✨
